These images are experiments with lights and shaders in the early 21st century, before the advent of high-end render tools and super-computing workstations. These Standard Definition images were created using a single pass scan-line render with, in most cases, hand painted textures and procedural maps on an Intel Pentium workstation with 2MB RAM and onboard graphics. The average render time was not more than a couple of minutes.
